Grant Korgan is the first adaptive skier to complete such a challenge. Through the teamwork of he, Fletcher and Stoup he demonstrated through this expedition the capacity of the human spirit to overcome life-altering injuries. And, perhaps more importantly, the team’s wish was to inspire people in all walks of life to help others achieve the seemingly insurmountable, to push their own everyday limits, and to live up to their ultimate potential.

Grant did it with true grit on a specially designed sit ski and finished it off by standing up, strapping on skis and finishing The Push on his own two feet.

To all of those involved…You are a true inspiration and proof that nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it! Nice one!

So what does 2012 mean exactly? It may be the most spoken about 365 day period in history…some have said life is to end, others believe that life will change dramatically…

In letting go of our perceptions of how things “should” occur, we allow things to happen with greater ease, grace, and positivity. And who knows? Maybe there is something much grander and more beautiful for us than we could of ever imagined if we let go of the “how”, “what”, “when”, and “why”.

Normally, this is not the type of subject we cover on My Happy Path, but as as the Internet censorship bills in the Senate and House would ruin the Internet for millions of people by making it possible for big entertainment companies, the Chamber of Commerce, and their lobbyists to make our government shut down websites they don’t like, we feel it is in our global best interest to pay attention and pass on the word about what is happening.

All over the Internet, people are saying no and taking action to keep the Internet we know and love working the way it’s supposed to. Add your voice today by signing this petition to Congress.

Say NO to Internet censorship.

Last summer, corporations and their lobbyists thought they could wave their wallets and pass whatever bill they wanted that would harm the Internet. But hundreds of thousands of other activists spoke loudly at the end of 2011, letting Congress know that we would not support Internet censorship. The result of this was a significant weakening of support for the bill in the House.

They heard the voice of the people then, and the Senate needs a strong statement from us now, because they’re set to vote on this bill on January 24. So far, lots of Republicans are coming out against this legislation. We need to speak up loudly and clearly to push more Democrats to change their position and protect the Internet.

Yesterday, sites that many of us use daily were blacked out to show just what the Internet would look like in an era of Internet censorship. If you don’t want a censored Internet, let everyone you’re connected to online know right now by signing and sharing this blackout petition.
